Ok Seinfeld fans, remember the Summer of George? I feel like this is our Summer of Teeth.
One child had two teeth pulled in June. We were just at the orthodontist getting a spacer put in this morning. I have another child who goes in for her orthodontist check up in a few weeks. My youngest is thankful for his higher number of baby teeth that keep him out of the orthodontist right now!
But Jessie, you may be thinking; Jessie, you have four children. You only talked about three of them so far. Yep . . . the not-yet-discussed of the four, she’s nervous. She is going in tomorrow to have wisdom teeth removed. She’s most nervous about the anesthesia.
We had a fun night tonight, so she could enjoy herself and not worry about tomorrow. We went and played with a new line of natural make-up. We had Subway. We had one pre-set boring adult meeting . . bleh . . but the girls were giggling the whole time I signed papers, so I guess they were ok. Then we went to the mall and played. And we got big pretzels . . just to stuff the girl who won’t be able to eat hours before surgery . . . and who won’t want to eat for hours after the surgery.
Tonight I am thankful for a night of fun for my nervous girl. Prayers are appreciated! I know everything will be just fine. And she’ll be eating buckets and buckets of ice cream in no time!
