The hubster and I ditched DirecTV over a year ago. We had called to cancel probably about a year before that. When we called to cancel, they lowered our price for a while. Then it went up. So we called to cancel. Then they lowered it again. I believe this happened one more time before they wouldn’t lower the price anymore. So we were done.
We really didn’t miss it as much as I thought we would. The kids had recorded some of their favorite shows off the satellite to dvd’s. Plus we have a ton of movies already. We have a Roku Stick. We’ve done Sling TV and Amazon movies. We don’t sit around crying over not having satelite.
But, the hubster got awhile last night to sit down and enjoy the Velocity channel and he was in heaven! We do have plans for the satellite tv to come back in to our lives . . just as soon as we pay off our house! At that time, we will pick whatever channels our hearts desire, and I can guarantee Velocity will be included in that package!
Tonight I am thankful that we really haven’t missed satellite tv. And I am also thankful that the little moments of satellite tv make the hubster happy – not regretful of our decision to dump DirecTV in the first place!!
