Last Hurrah

I have been putting off making good decisions about my health.

It’s hard.  I’ve done enough trial and error over the last couple years to know that diet and exercise are only about 25% my problem.  Sleep is my enemy.  Sleep is very important.  I don’t do it enough.  Not even close.  Although, I have improved this year quite a bit!

I signed myself up for a healthy eating / exercise challenge that starts tomorrow!  If I am going to have a chance of being competitive I need to keep that 8 hour of sleep goal!  And I need to ditch pop again.  The Soda Stream has been better for me . . unless I’m out of the house.  Food isn’t generally a huge enemy for me.  But I do like to indulge every now and then of course!

On our menu tonight was burgers on the grill with corn on the cob and all that yummy stuff.  That didn’t sound quite right to me.  So we decided to have pie and ice cream instead!

Tonight I am thankful for one last hurrah of “fun” food before starting this healthy challenge.  And I plan on making this healthy challenge a healthy way of life.  I’ve been working towards this all year, improving my sleep a little at a time.  Now will be the last push towards the bigger goal!  ( I will try not to get too cranky with my upcoming sugar/caffeine withdrawls!)
