Easy (not so) Peasy

Today looked so easy on the calendar.  I only had two appointments.  I should have had a good flowing day.

A phone call this morning added another appointment.  Then another call, and another appointment.  Then I was rushing to get everything done and get back in time for kiddos from school.

Thankfully once home, the kiddos helped me bring cheer stuff up from the basement.  Then we did a mad sorting thru boxes.  Then to practice early.

BUT, I had one hurt kiddo from a different practice.  I was going to wait and let the hubster take her in.  I didn’t want to.  But we had practice.  My awesome coaches stepped in and let me take my baby in 🙂  I am very thankful! ❤

Tonight I am even more thankful that my baby will be ok.  I was so worried that she tore something.  From her flowing tears and what she was telling me had happened; it did not sound good.

**On this note – let me share a practical little tip that my physical therapist shared with me after my PCL tear:  ice is good for immediate swelling.  Ice is not good for all injuries.  Ice makes things contract.  So if you have a muscle that is injured, it is not a good idea to make the thing cold and make it pull itself tight.  HEAT is good for injured muscles.  ICE is good for swelling.  My daughter was not swollen, but had ice tightly plastic wrapped to her leg.  She could not walk without crying.  We came home, took off the ice, and warmed it up immediately.  Heat, some essential oils, and ibuprofen and she could walk without crying by the time we got to the doctor’s office.
