Sometimes I feel like a very smart person. Other times, well . . not so much.
I am still driving a dealer car, and I still will be for a while still. My car is in for its warranty engine replacement. The problem is that there is not a newly built engine available. So the dealership ordered all the parts to build me an engine themselves. Now I wait. It’s going to be awhile.
This leaves me trying to keep four children from staining or messing up this brand new car that the dealer let me use. I’ve been so worried about the kids, I guess I forgot to worry about myself. . . .
The car does something weird if a window is down one side. It hurts my ears with uneven air pressure. On a day like today, I put the passenger window down, and the rear driver’s window down to even out the air. It works well.
I should say, it works well until I take the car thru the car wash and forgot that I had the rear driver’s window down about three inches. I don’t even know why I turned around. But I did, and I saw blue and pink soap suds on the seat. I put up the window as fast as I could and started looking around. I had no napkins. I had no tissues. The best I could do was hand wipes in a travel package that I carry in my purse.
I slipped off my shoes and climbed in the back seat, quickly cleaning up all the soap suds as fast as I could. I don’t think they stained anything. I mean, I know it is soap. But it certainly isn’t meant for upholstery!
Tonight I am thankful I noticed the soap suds before they damaged anything . . or filled up the car! I can’t wait to have my own car back! If I damage my own car, then I have to live with it. If I damage the dealer’s car, I have to answer to them about it! And I probably am a little paranoid about, since the first car they let me borrow was damaged from that deer running in to me. I’d really like to return this one in good shape!!!
