Time

It has been two weeks exactly since I had my doors installed in my office.  For two entire weeks, I have not had time to go work on my new office!  I had even put on my calendar last weekend a block of time to go paint.  But I had to change plans.

Tonight after the football game, I went to the office with my girls.  They got tired of painting rather quickly.  They said it was boring.  After I let them rest for a while, one daughter even made my phone say in a funny voice app, “Hi I am Jessica Schmidt Case and I like to paint boringly”.  Yep . . . that was my entertainment 😉

The girls were saved when their dad and brothers stopped to take them home.  I stayed and enjoyed my boring painting.

Truth be told, I wasn’t going to paint everything tonight.  I was just going to do the doors and a big wood area.  Then I thought I should do the interior trim.  Well, then I wanted to see it with the exterior trim painted too.  If I went that far, I should do the window too.  And if I was doing the window too; well the only thing left was the other doorway, so I did that too.

I wasn’t going to paint the interior of the other door.  Now I might be changing my mind.  Although I didn’t decide tonight.  I’ll save that decision for a night when I haven’t been painting for three hours with a now-mildly-sore arm!

Tonight I am thankful for finally having some time to paint in my new office!!  One more step towards completion!!
