Friday I went on a field trip. I had scheduled my house appointments for that afternoon, after school. I thought maybe I could fit them in before going to the game that night.
Except I got home from the field trip and was exhausted. I wore myself down too much last week. And I knew it. So I tried to take a nap – unsuccessful in my noisy house. I take a nice hot bath with epsom salts. That helped a little with a second wind to get me to the game (one hour drive one way . . *sigh*).
I thought maybe I would do it Saturday. Saturday was wet. Very wet. We had practice in the morning. We had contractors coming to give quotes that afternoon. Eh, nope, I didn’t go then either.
I was going to go this morning. Yep, I would get up early and be ready to go at first daylight! Nope. I cleaned off my desk. I did the bills. I did work at my desk here. By the time everyone woke up, there was no way I could do my appointments and be back in time for our game today. So I stayed here and worked a little while chatting with my family.
So . . I had to go today after the game. I left very shortly after we got back to the house. And I hit my last house with the sky getting really dark. I was waiting for someone to call the police on me. Neighbors don’t like when someone goes in to a foreclosed house by them at all on Sundays anyway. And I was doing it with the little daylight. (P.S. This is why I can’t do Haunted Houses – I would seriously not be able to do my job!!)
Tonight I am thankful that I finally got my houses done! Now I have to stay up and finish these reports!! I am even more thankful that no one called the police on me tonight!! I was half expecting that to happen. But it didn’t! Yay!!
PS – This picture has nothing to do with my blog tonight. But look what my daughter did with her favorite barn cat, Lolly. Our barn cats live a pretty good life 🙂
