Almost Here!

This weekend is it!  The past two months of my life have had football or cheerleading every single day!  It’s been great, seeing the kids doing things that they love!  And it’s been great, seeing the kids in the cheer program get so excited with something they love!  But guess what, I’m Tired – yes, with a capital “T”!

This is the first year that the cheer program is doing a competition – Saturday morning if anyone wants to come cheer us on!  This is the first year the cheer program is running an Instructional Program for younger girls – they’ll be at the game on Sunday if anyone wants to come cheer us on!

This is the first year that I’ve had a cheerleader as a Varsity cheerleader.  She’s been out most of the season with an injury.  But we are still driving to games and picking her up from practices.

This is not the first year that I’ve had a boy in flag football.  So we were prepared with what to expect with that!

We’ve had practices every day of the work week.  Four out of the five days of the week have had multiple practices.  There’s been a game every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  I’m tired.  But I’m excited!  This is a big weekend coming up! Everything wraps up this weekend.  And everything wraps up with something big!

I am thankful we are nearing the end, because I look forward to spending some time on my couch!  Maybe watching a movie or five 😉

During this season, I have had the privilege of working with some absolutely wonderful coaches!  They have worked hard and helped this program grow to something amazing in just two short seasons!  I have been blessed to get to know an awesome group of girls in our program!  They are really something!  And what keeps me pushing forward here; I’ve had the opportunity to watch my children pursue something that they love and enjoy.  My daughter, on the ride home from practice tonight, said she wished cheer season didn’t have to end.

Tonight I am thankful for everything we’ve worked on in the last two months!  And I am thankful for everything that the next several days will bring!
