The idea started less than twelve months ago. The girls asked about competition. Well, if they were interested in it, we could definitely go watch a competition and see what they thought!
So we went to a competition. The girls loved it. While we were sitting there, a coach got a text asking if we were interested in joining this new competition. The timing was impeccable. Yes, we believed we were interested in joining.
Several months and many practices later, we were there today. The girls did A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! It may have been the best they’ve ever done. I wondered if the nervous feelings would trip them up. But no, it didn’t! They rocked their routines!!
When they finished their last routine, we went out in the hall. They didn’t even know how they ranked yet; but they were already excited about doing this again next year! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! They didn’t even care how they placed. They were so excited and feeling proud of themselves!! And they had every right to be! Two gold medals later, and there were such screams of joy!
Tonight was the last home football game. Our youth program was invited out to cheer with the Varsity cheerleaders. The excited girls just kept the cheer-ific day going strong!!
I know I said it last night. But I really need to send a HUGE thank you out to the coaches! My competitive and football cheer coaches are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! There is no way we would have had a day like today without these women!
Tonight I am thankful for an amazing cheer day! I am blown away. Truly, truly blown away! Very grateful, very humbled, and feeling very blessed!
