For two months, we had cheer practice at 6pm on Tuesdays. For most of the 2 months, dance class over-lapped cheer practice. The hubster would come pick up our girls and have them to dance class on time.
Now it is up to me. Last week, I did good. She was to class on time. And all was right with the world!
Tonight was going to go just as well! I had a grocery list prepared to do some shopping while she danced. I was ready!
Here I sat, working away at my desk and glanced at the time. AH! It was time to go! I got my girls and we jumped in the car. Off we went! We were going to get there on time for sure!!
We were almost to town when I took my foot off the gas pedal in amazement. “What is it mom?”, they asked. Duh! We were over a whole hour early! My mind had the 6pm cheer time stuck as when we should be to dance class.
Instead of beating myself up about this, we went out to dinner! I mean, we certainly had the time! I had my budgeted “eating out” money in my wallet. AND I had a $5 coupon in my purse for one of our favorite restaurants!
Tonight I am thankful for an impromptu dinner, courtesy of my shortcomings at schedule reading! We had lots of laughs at the table tonight! Dance class was arrived at on time. And the groceries were gotten too! (Don’t worry, the hubster made sure the boys got a treat too!)
