I have been on a search for a while now.  Searching for a new winter coat.  I spend a great deal of time outside for my job.  And I get cold very easily.

Sounds like I need a big, puffy coat, right?  Not really.  I need to be able to move well in the coat to measure around houses, hold a clipboard while measuring, and climb around snowy landscaping.  If the coat is too puffy, I can’t move well enough to do my job.

This has been a long search.  I have searched several different stores, starting last winter.  I have searched new coats, used coats at Goodwill, and coats online.  It’s been rather discouraging as my old coat gets thinner and less warm after several washings.  My old coat is an electric coat.  It has a battery pack that heated the coat!  It was wonderful!  But it doesn’t really work anymore.  It’s been several years of wash and wear on the poor thing.

Today I took my girls out dress shopping.  We walked in to a store and there in front of us was a beautiful looking coat!  I tried it on.  It was warm and comfy and not too puffy!!!  But, it was too small.  It was the largest size on the rack.  *sigh*  I took a picture of the tag.  I thought maybe later I could find a larger size of the same coat online?

We walked a little farther and there was another rack!  With the same coat!  In a bigger size!  And it was 50% off!!!

Tonight I am thankful for ending my months long quest to find the perfect new winter coat!!  And ending the search at 50% off was wonderful!!!
