Couldn’t Find It

This has been a year for driving lots of vehicles!!  I was counting with my daughter and we counted 9.  Nine!!  That is crazy!

I didn’t own them all . . I’m not that crazy!  There were rentals and loaners from dealerships while my engine was worked on.  Today I drove a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.  My new van is in getting its protective coating on (p.s.  My kids are slobs!!).

I will say the Pacifica is a very nice van!  It drives nice and has some fun extras!  I felt like an idiot in it today though.  I pulled up to the gas pump.  I knew I had the right side of the van – I love the little arrows on the dashboard for that!  But, I could not figure out how to get the gas door open!!  I looked for a button or a lever.  I couldn’t find one.

I stepped out of the van and stuck my head in to look . . maybe it as close to under the seat?  No.  I looked back at the gas door, maybe they went old school and just had a lip to grab and pull open?  No.

Finally I gave up and sat back in the van.  I pulled out my phone and asked google how to open the gas door.  Turns out, you just push on the door and it pops open.  No buttons.  No levers.  *sigh*  I hope I gave the gas station attendant a good laugh if they were watching!

Despite the gas situation, tonight I am thankful for getting to drive another new, fun vehicle today!  My van will be back tomorrow and I can’t wait!  Although . . I will miss the heated seats of this Pacifica!  I am extra thankful for the opportunity this year to drive so many different vehicles!  I think I’d possibly have too much fun if I owned a dealership!!!
