Today was a snow day! I had two children who were suited up and heading out to the snow within a half hour of waking up! There was reports of poor quality packing snow. But the snow was good for snow angels!
Christmas movies and playing took up a good part of the day here in my home!
I believed that all the evening activities were cancelled for the kids. We decided that this would be the night we would drive to Brooklyn to visit the huge, drive-thru Christmas light show! The light show used to be in Jackson. Not everyone was excited about the extra 20 minute drive one way. But, we had to check it out! We stopped for our traditional Pizza Hut dinner to accompany the light show. I’m not sure when that tradition started for us; but it certainly was worth the deviation from my low-carb lifestyle tonight! Mmmm! They do make a good deep dish there!
The light show certainly had a lot more room for their displays in their new venue! And they have lots of room to grow in the future! It was worth the drive. And now we are all exhausted!
Tonight I am thankful for a snow day for the kids! They had a nice, relaxing day ending with a fun Christmas-ey outing! Everyone should have sweet dreams tonight!
