We are almost wrapping up our “longest move in history”! The closing on our previous house will be coming up soon! There are just a few more things we are going to do at that house before we are all done!
This weekend, I wanted to work on a project here at the new house! I painted the front of the garage a few weeks ago. The garage looked pretty rough. And frankly, it made me cringe whenever I drove in the driveway! I was very thankful to have gotten the front painted!
The driveway is a U shape though. So cars pulling in from the other side of the garage had a view of the side, which was only slightly better looking than the front used to be. This weekend, I wanted to get the side painted!
The side needed a little more prep time than the front did. There were old, straggly wires, vines, and fixtures attached to the side. The ground around the side is a little hilly, so we were letting the greenery there get pretty long.
Today was the day! This is the view from the deck while the hubster and kiddo built new deck stairs and I took a break from painting!
Tonight I am thankful for the times of rest this holiday weekend. I am thankful for the projects we got done this holiday weekend. And mostly on Memorial Day, I am thankful for those who gave their lives so that we could have the freedom to live in this country – where we can decide on a weekend to rest or to do projects. I know this freedom is not extended to all in this world. ❤️
