I went to the Gilmore Car Museum some time as a teenager. I vaguely remember things about it. The hubster is a car guy though, so I thought he should go. I’ve mentioned it. I even tried to plan taking him there once. He said it was too far away, no one would want to walk around the cars, etc., etc., blah, blah, blah.
I talked to the kiddos a few times. Last weekend we solidified our plans that we would take him there for Father’s Day. And, we would keep our destination a surprise. He doesn’t like surprises. So, we warned him that there would be a surprise.
He tried to trip up the other members of this household for days. No one would break!
We got on the road this morning. He wanted to drive, so I was just giving him directions. We did pretty good. We got an hour away from home. We got about 20 minutes from the museum and he guessed where we were going. I think we did pretty good!
Tonight I am thankful that the hubster loved his Father’s Day surprise! He enjoyed the museum! And we all had a great day! 🙂
P.S. Here is myself with a car of my choice 🙂 This is respecting the hubster’s privacy and keeping him offline tonight!
