My work has been catered around my kiddos for 18 years. I can work with distractions like a pro. I can type reports and analyze data while instructing where a long lost pencil is.
But, I have found a limit! I’ve been learning lots of new things! And, it is much harder to multi-task while learning new things and taking notes!
I’ve made it thru hours of trainings today and had to pause the video numerous times. I wasn’t counting, but definitely over 20 times. I get a lot less frustrated now adays. Many years ago, this would bring me to tears at times. But, now, I look at these lovely people around me and cherish the interruptions a bit.
Tonight I am thankful for the interruptions. In a few months, two of my kiddos won’t be home anymore, one will be a senior at high school, and one will be busy with studies. Today I will smile at the interruptions; kiddos are here and they want to chat. I’ll hit pause on the video and chat! ❤️
