We’ve had two goats for awhile now; one older and one younger. Over the last many months, our older goat was slowly declining. Rosie, our elderly goat, has been a wonderful goat. Sadly, she passed recently. And that left Jelly Bean by herself.
Jelly Bean had chickens and ducks around, but no other goats. She had moments of sadness, but then took a sharp turn depressing turn. I had been quietly looking for a new home for Jelly Bean; but I really wanted to make sure she went to a good home.
The hubster has been ready for us to be done with goaty-goats for awhile. I hadn’t quite been ready. But, watching Jelly Bean get so sad, and knowing that right now was not the best time for us to rebuild a herd; it was time.
Tonight I am thankful that a wonderful family welcomed Jelly Bean in to their herd today! Jelly Bean was so happy! She hasn’t been that happy since Rosie had been alive! It was great to see! ❤️
