My mistake of not having the 100% documentation for crossing in to Canada led to us not feeling super comfortable being in that country. So we changed our route on Saturday and crossed the border in to New York.
The gps said we had to take a ferry in to Vermont. That seemed excessive, so I scrolled thru the map and picked a place that looked like a bridge, that would lead us right in to the mountains. Turns out that route also had a ferry anyway. Oops! No worries, the ferry was reasonably priced and easy. But, that route thru New York had the brightest and prettiest leaf colors on rolling hills/foothills that we saw the entire trip.
We decided to change our route home, since we didn’t want to risk not making it thru Customs without proper documentation. Our new route home put us close to the Niagara Falls, so we stopped in for my kiddo to see!
Tonight I am thankful how God can take one tiny mistake on my part and turn it in to so many beautiful things! And I am so thankful for this one on one adventure time with my kiddo! ❤
