We’ve had this fluffy puppy for around two and a half years now. I first liked her breed for their fluffiness. Then I read more and liked her breed for their protective and sweet nature.
I did a bit of research before we got her. Her breed is very independent! There were many things to read about Great Pyrenees behaviors. After a bit of reading good and bad interactions that people have had, I trained this doggy just a little bit different than some of the other dogs that I have had. I do have to say that it was definitely worth it!
This picture is impressive because she doesn’t usually lay this close to me. She sees me as one of the other guardians of the house. So when I am stationary, she is usually a bit away from me, guarding the house from a different location. She knows I have my area of the house covered.
Today my blood sugar dropped pretty dramatically. Usually when it drops, it is gradual, and I have a little warning. Today was almost no body signals or anything. I grabbed some rice krispie treats and started eating them super quickly. I turned and looked to find my fluffy doggy right at my feet, guarding me. ❤️
Tonight I am thankful for my fluffy protector! She quickly became the lead dog in this house. Our four year old dog seems very happy to have given her the lead! I love how sweet, yet fierce she is! ❤️
