Do you know how adrenaline runs thru you after something big? Like, say, for instance, a car accident, like my car accident last Sunday. I was asked if I was ok? Did I need medical attention? Of course not! I felt ok. My blood was rushing thru my veins maybe 5x the normal speed. But, sure, I was ok!

Until later that day, then the next day, then the days after that. Honestly, I’m not sure what exactly I did. It has to do with muscles in my right arm, wrist, and hand. I know, I know, I should go get it looked at . . but, why? Nothing is broken; which means I most likely have a tear, which means I’ll be told to rest it in a brace.

Except, I didn’t quite come to this realization until the end of this past week. In the earlier days of last week, I thought I was just sore. So, I didn’t take really the best care of myself.

Around Tuesday or Wednesday I started wearing my wrist brace. It was around Thursday or Friday that I decided I should probably wear a sling because I was still using my arm and hand too much; ending the day in the kind of pain level that makes a person nauseous. I looked all over this house. We should have at least two slings around here. I couldn’t find them. So, I decided to buy one.

Yesterday, my kiddo and I headed over to B2 Bargain Bins in Mason after his morning practice. And I found a sling for $1!!! Wow, what a huge difference!

Tonight I am thankful for my $1 sling! Yesterday was the least amount of pain that I have had since the accident! Today would be close if I’d keep my arm in the sling . . it’s very hard to type and use my mouse with the sling. And I had things to do!
