Presentable in Disguise

My face does not look pleasant at the moment. I went out for a bit this morning and felt like coming back home and sitting down. Maybe when the swelling in my face goes down, I’ll be able to move around more without needing to rest. So it’s good I have to rest right now, so I can’t go out and scare people. 🙂

I tried a baseball hat, but it put too much pressure on the stitches closer to my hair line. I went back with a headband for most of the day. I tried a nice knit beanie. That was better. It covered the stitches without a ton of pressure. I could wear it with low grade pain if I need to. Then my head won’t look quite as scary. But, it doesn’t cover the black eye and the stitch on my eyelid. I just can’t do much about that. Unless I go outside and wear sunglasses! With a beanie and sunglasses, I can look un-scary! So, if I need to be around people I have a plan. Seriously though, my head is not ready for that. I still need to be sitting down for a few days probably.

Tonight I am thankful for visual aids to help conceal my recent injuries! I am very thankful that I can stay home right now! And very thankful that my family is being wonderfully accommodating in taking care of me! I am also thankful that when I do have to leave, and feel up to leaving, I have a plan!

Here is my good eye, with the stitches above my good eye all covered up and my black eye out of the picture! I look normal with a little more than a quarter of my face visible 🤣 Oh, I had to cut out the tip of my nose too 🤣 That has a sizeable cut also, it just didn’t require stitches. I am finding this all a bit comical at the moment! 🤣
