Same-sies!

Oh this lady right here. ❤️

I recently heard a story of her that I want to share here. It is significant because I love her so much and I know she loved me so much; but we are very different people. I have often liked that the biggest thing we have in common is love!

So here’s the story: my Mom was telling me about when she was a little girl. My Grandpa would go out in the car and honk the horn, wanting Grandma to hurry up and come out. Grandma just took her time, got a sip of water, and wandered around doing little things. My Mom said she got so concerned because she knew Grandpa was getting mad, but Grandma didn’t seem to care. She said that was probably this sweet woman’s biggest act of rebellion. ❤️

And oh, this made me smile! Because I do that to my hubster! For years he has gotten himself ready, and gone out to the car. Irritating, right? Because then I’m turning off lights, tucking in animals, etc. I used to let it get me mad. In more recent years, I just go extra slow. I figure if he wants to sit in the car, sit a little longer and live it up in there!

Tonight I choose to be thankful for this and all the wonderful moments that this lady was on this Earth! We were blessed to have her this long. I will forever be thankful for knowing her, loving her, and being loved by her. ❤️
