Comical Ending

It’s been a long day! In my head, this was going to go much quicker. I was planned to pick up the u-Hual at 9am. There were other people ahead of me when I got there. Then I had to get gas. We didn’t actually arrive at our first destination until a bit after 10.

We were going to start with the trickiest thing to load. Yep, it was tricky. It set us back around an hour. Then we had the other things to load. Then driving to the next destination to unload.

Then to a different destination to load a few things. Then a mad dash to the donation center before they closed.

Then back to the original destination for a second load. Then to the next drop-off location. Another unloading. And then back to drop-off the truck.

So, lots of time in the rain. Lots of physical activity. And quite a bit of emotional activity since we were helping my Mom move things out of her house. I blame all of that! I was tired! And that must be why I locked my phone in the U-Hual truck, put the keys in the night drop box, and drove away. When I realized i didn’t have my phone, we drove back. I was hoping maybe I forgot to lock one of the doors. But, no. I was meticulous in ensuring I followed all of the instructions from U-Hual. Too bad one of the instructions was not to make sure I took my phone with me! 🤣

Tonight I am thankful that I can get my phone back when they open at 8am tomorrow. I mean, I didn’t lose the phone in a dumpster or something. It is safe and secure. It is just not with me! I am also thankful that we got a lot done today! And I am thankful that we weren’t moving things in a foot of snow. See, lots of good things! Just with a comical ending to the day, I would say!
