Precious Things

In the back of the barn, by his work bench, was a bulletin board where my Marky kept pictures.  Mostly they were the pictures that he had in his toolbox at his job before he retired.  Over the years he had added in a few others.

After he passed, going thru the barn was the hardest.  The hubster and a kiddo helped the most with that.  The bulletin board came here.

I ordered an album off Amazon to put the pictures in.  Last night the hubster put the pictures in the album for me.  It would have made me cry. Sometimes it’s ok to cry.  And sometimes I just don’t want to.  I get tired of feeling so much.  And I’d much rather distract myself with something else.

There are two more things to go in the album.  My mom went thru his wallet and found a pocket card that I had given him.  And a letter that I wrote to him when he was dating my Mom, or maybe from when they got engaged. I don’t remember writing it.  And it is crazy that he carried it with him for 34/35 years.

Tonight I am thankful for this album to keep precious things in.  And I am thankful for the help getting the precious things in to the album.  ❤
