I was in Menards to pick up a few things. I had a list. But, I had to swing by their small apparel section. They had an end cap of red white and blue themed things for Memorial Day. I picked up a hat for under $5.

I really don’t need another hat. But, it looked patriotic and it was cheap 🙂

Right behind me was a dad and his little girl. They went up to the end cap next and she picked the same hat. It was pretty cute 🙂

Then I got to my destination and had assistance unloading the van. And the hubster saw the hat. He was excited! He said he had meant to ask me to keep an eye out for a patriotic hat for Memorial Day. So I smiled and handed over the hat.

Tonight I am thankful for a hat that was not meant to be mine 🙂 I am happy that the little girl in the store was happy with it (she liked seeing that an adult had just picked the same hat). And I am very happy that the hubster was happy about the hat! I didn’t know it would make his day when I picked it up!
