Gratitude

Have you ever heard of Brian Buffini? Google him. When I decided to do a little more with my realtor license (not the state license name), I was bombed with emails from different fly by night companies promising to help me sell more houses.

I ignored them all. I was a Ramsey sponsored business event for their Christy Wright line that is no longer in existence when someone mentioned Brian Buffini when they heard that I was in real estate. I had heard his name before. So I started researching him. He seemed a little different. But, I wasn’t sold yet.

I bought some used cd’s on ebay of his, that were actually from the housing downturn in the 2008ish era. And I did like what he was saying. So I started to learn more. Although not all of his ways are for me, I do respect him.

I watched a recent interview with him where he was asked how he raised his kids to not be entitled with all that their family had. His answer was simple, gratitude. Gratitude. Being thankful negates entitlement. And that is how he raised his children. They are all adults now. And they are still thankful for things in their lives, big and little.

I will admit that I’ve thought about ending this blog here and there. This blog started as a year long experiment well over 10 years ago. In fact, I am probably closer to 15. But then I am reminded, I didn’t start this blog for views, or for monitization. The business part of my brain goes in that direction sometimes. No, I started this blog for me. And it was the shift that the practice of gratitude made in my life, that led me to continue this well beyond one year.

Tonight I am thankful that all of those years ago, God placed on my heart to write about being thankful. The shift in my life is both noticeable and remarkable. And I will always be thankful for that! ❤️
