God put this thing on my heart months ago to help someone. I do enjoy helping people! This was just a really big thing.
It has been so good to watch how everyone involved has been blessed in one way or another. This whole thing wraps up in less than two weeks. And I have one more big thing to do here.
I was getting an attitude about it. I have opinions. Very strong opinions about a person involved that I need to reach out to.
Yesterday on my way to meet my Mom, and vent about this, Brandon Lake’s song King of Hearts kept going thru my head. So I pulled it up and listened to it as I drove. When the song got to the adjectives of all of the people that are loved . . well, I got it. My role here was not to “deal with my opinions” or vent about them or anything else. My role is to set my own opinions aside because God loves this person. And, honestly, with the way this is going; I’m pretty much expecting God to use this as a blessing in some way as well!
Tonight I am thankful that God’s ways are higher than my ways. That God has a plan. And that God is way smarter than I am! I look forward to seeing the things that transpire this week and next as this God-directed project draws to an end.
