Sometimes big ideas need to be formulated over time, like cooking a dish that needs to simmer. You know what you want the end result to be. But, you can’t get there quickly. That’s where I’ve been with Time 414.
Like a dish that simmers, sometimes you are adding in a spice here, or an ingredient there. And that’s what we’ve been doing with Time 414. Plus side dishes, I mean sides are important to a meal! We’ve been working on the sides. The main dish though . . I’ve been stalled.
During a meeting last week, I was talking about this with other business owners. And it was brought up that I need to give myself a deadline. I hadn’t really done that yet with a few big aspects of things. So, I’ve been rolling around ideas in my head since that meeting.
I’m getting there. It’s crazy how it takes time sometimes to make these goals and sometimes they just click right away. This one needs time. This goal that has been simmering involves having Time 414 big enough to be able to take the appraisal business off the stove completely. This goal has different, moving pieces to it. The biggest is that this goal takes me out of my comfort zone of primary income for the past 20 years. That is a pretty darn big deal.
Tonight I am thankful for lots of time of prayer and planning. This simmering time has been much longer than the meeting last week. The meeting last week has been important to have me setting that timer on when the simmering will be done. (Sorry if I made anyone hungry! This was the analogy that fit tonight!)
