I cleaned out my fridge today and it was GROSS to say the least. My New Year’s resolution was to be better about my food waste….then we had family come to town twice, we’ve been super busy all over the place, *insert another excuse* so some food piled up, and it went bad. Im not going to beat myself up, Im going to be grateful I was able to afford food in the first place. And I’m grateful I have dish gloves so I don’t have to touch old food crusts when I wash my dishes. But I’m extra thankful for ny house having a backyard (a rare thing in this area) that backs to a woods…a woods full of lots of critters who will love the old foods from my fridge! So is it really food waste? Or squirrel and cat food? Hey, honestly I am technically saving squirrel lives here by feeding the cats! But I’m so so thankful to be able to just toss the old foods into the woods and not have to take care of a garbage bag that could be leaking old food juice😂
