Dinner

The calendar told us that our anniversary would not be a peaceful one.  There was plenty of work stuff.  There was school for kiddos.  And even though our anniversary is on a Friday there was a football game.  An away football game . . . about an hour away.

Of course we were going to make the best of it.  We looked at little, local restaurants out by the football game.  We’d have a neat, little dinner to celebrate.  That was the plan.

BUT, our cheerleader woke up sick this morning.  That meant no school.  That meant to football game.  That meant we had the evening to celebrate!  Except, we were both tired.  It’s been a long week.  I’ve been sick all week.  The hubster’s work had a big deal going on today that they’ve been preparing for all week.  We didn’t want to go anywhere!

I had two houses to visit after an afternoon closing (a closing for a very awesome family!).  Since I was out later, I devised a plan!  After work was done, I stopped at Target.  I got some goodies and a new family movie!  Then I stopped a Pizza Hut!  I’m allowed to deviate from my healthy eating for our anniversary!!  I brought home pizza and cheesesticks and pasta!

Tonight I am thankful for a wonderful anniversary evening home in the living room with my family!  We all have full tummies and smiling faces.  And now, I’m off to sleep.  I’ve been looking forward to sleeping since I shut off my alarm this morning!!
