July 28th is the day that my car stopped running. 53 Days until now.
Approximately two weeks was spent waiting for a shop to actually figure out what was wrong. Sadly, after two weeks they found out that I was missing a piston. My car was towed to a dealership.
The dealership had to convince the warranty people that my car should be covered under the existing warranty. The warranty people wanted to void the warranty because another shop had opened up the car. Thankfully the dealership did a good job and the warranty people had to give in!
Then there was an issue that there were no available engines for my car. So all the parts were ordered for the dealership to build me a new engine. All the parts came in, the mechanics built the engine, and yesterday I got the call that my car was ready!!
Tonight I am thankful that I finally got to get my beloved Blueberry and bring her home!! I will miss the turbo in Muddy (the nickname of the car the dealership let me drive!). And I will miss the back up camera!! But, I am still over-joyed to be back in my own car again!! 🙂
