Backseat

My first memories of him are in the backseat of a big 1980-something sedan.  Oh Geesh!  Get your mind out of gutter people!!!

I’m talking about Mr Taco!

I was a kid buckled in to the backseat of my parent’s car, sitting next to my brother.  And we each got our own bean and cheese burritos.  As I got older, I could drive myself there.  My orders grew to try out more of the yummy menu!

Then, just like that, one day it was gone.  They were all closed.  There have been many times over the years that I’ve missed their food.

Then, like a fairy tale come true, the restaurant has been being worked on to re-open.  It’s been open for limited hours for a while now.  I was going to wait until there weren’t miles of cars there before I went.

I drove by today and the line looked reasonable.  So I stopped!

Tonight I am thankful for an absolutely delicious lunch of Mr Taco food!  It was just as good as I remembered!
