Getting Ready (Carefully)

Yesterday was my first day without ibuprofen! It was very exciting!

Today I scrubbed my bathroom shower/tub and needed ibuprofen. The tummy area does not want to be scrunched up while I bend over and scrub things. But, my bathroom looks much better and I took a nap with the ibuprofen.

Overall, the good news is that after the painful set back last week, I am feeling back on the mend!

So, I spent tonight looking thru recipes! This far, I have been eating whatever my tummy requests. According to the internet, my appetite should be back to “normal”. At my check up, I did verify with the doctor that there isn’t anything wrong that it isn’t. He said sometimes that happens. So, I’ve been trying to go with the flow.

And, I do intend to do what I can. But, I’m going to be a little more pushy with my healing body with food! Less carbs! More protein! I’ve been resting and eating unbalanced for weeks. In two weeks I will be at the ninja world’s competition! I know I won’t do well. But, I’d like to do something. Or, if my body says no, then I won’t. But if my body says yes, then I’d like to have as many cards in my favor as I can! This week I am also going to add in more exercises; carefully, paying attention, etc.

Tonight I am thankful for some recipes that are high in protein, lower in carbs, and didn’t make my tummy roll over from the sight of them! Big inspiration is from facebook pages Keto Snackz and Makayla Thomas Fitness. They don’t overload veggies in to every recipe; so they have a lot that I can use! Hooray!

I am also thankful for my trial period of Kroger Boost! While I was looking at recipes, I was adding things to my cart online. The groceries will be here in the morning and I’ll get some meal prepping in before I have to leave the house! 🙂
