I got home today and greeted my animals. Eddie, a cat I found starving in a foreclosure came up from the basement to see me. And she had blood all over her fur. My first thought was that she is dying! We barely got her back to healthy when I found her because her health was so far gone.
I had her in the bathroom and was cleaning the blood off of her. She didn’t seem like anything hurt on her. Then I got to her private area. Hmm, I never got Eddie spayed because her insides were so fragile for so long. And my kiddo didn’t get her cat neutered in a reasonable time.
You guessed it. Eddie is not dying. She is a mother. Our house, which has been kitten-less for some time, now has three babies.
Tonight I am thankful that Eddie is healthy! And thankful for three cute babies. Also thankful that Eddie seems to like being a mom. She wanted a drink of milk. And then she was happy to go back and take care of her babies 🙂
