Recap for those who haven’t heard the story:
Years ago I rescued a cat from a foreclosed home. She was starved almost to death. We didn’t know if she was going to make it. It was touch and go for awhile. Once she was healthy, I decided not to take her in to get her spayed. Her insides had been thru enough and she was never going to be leaving our house.
Fast forward, my kiddo rescued a cat. She said he was going to be just hers and she would be responsible. She made the appointment for him to get neutered. Apparently the appointment was a little late.
Quite unexpectedly, we had three baby kittens. The mom never really showed as pregnant. The babies were wonderful for her. She was an excellent mom and the whole experience really was good for her overall well being. But, we are pretty filled up on kitties here.
I waited a little extra long to start looking for a new home for them. I wanted to make sure that their absence wouldn’t devastate their mother. She didn’t start to push away from them like cats tend to do. Finally we started separating them and then started looking for a new home for the triplets.
A wonderful friend took one. And now, the amazing person took the other two! This was hard for me. I was fighting back tears when I got back home and took care of their dishes. The wonderful things that kept the tears at bay is knowing that they are in a wonderful home where they will be loved and taken care of.
Tonight I am thankful for my friend and her big heart! Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving the boys a home ❤️❤️
