Mom / Kiddo

Over this past weekend was one of my favorite Christmas traditions!! Shopping day with kiddos!! We were missing our out of state kiddo.

This tradition started with a flat girl scout. Yes, you read that right! There was a flat Girl Scout, Juliette; made to be like Flat Stanley, the book series. My kiddo’s Girl Scout troop was sent Flat Juliette and she came with us. We took her on Christmas journeys and then she was sent to another Girl Scout troop.

So we made a fun day to be able to record Flat Juliette’s adventures. We went for a donut breakfast and sat in front of a fireplace to eat. Then we went to a tree farm and to see Santa. And then we went Christmas shopping.

That was the only year that Flat Juliette came with us. But the yearly tradition of breakfast at Dunkin Donuts, eating inside by the fireplace has stayed. The tree farm and Santa have fallen by the wayside. But the shopping has stayed! And even though three of my four are adults, no one was bailed on this yearly tradition! And I love it!

Tonight I am thankful for the past weekend of our annual Mom/Kiddo Christmas shopping! Next year should be all of the kiddos!!!!! ❤️❤️
