On a Girl Scout trip several years ago, another Mom had a cooler that plugged in to a vehicle and in to a wall outlet. I thought that was pretty cool! And I thought a few times that something like that would be a neat investment. I looked up what it was to buy a new one and decided it wasn’t the time for us to buy one.
A kiddo reminded me that I did buy a variation of an electric cooler that had cup holders and wasn’t as big. It had sat in the back of the van and it wasn’t hear as functional for the way we traveled. So we didn’t keep it too long.
But now, thinking of all the time we’ll be traveling in the next 10 days, it sounded like a good idea again! But, I still didn’t want to pay retail. I hopped on Marketplace and found one close by! But, the seller was already talking to someone and it sold before I had a chance to buy it.
A newer and better one popped up today, just a bit farther away! It looked like it hadn’t been used. One of the cords was still in it’s original plastic even! I messaged the seller and she was already talking to people. So, I did a strategic move. I offered her double her asking price. Even at double the asking price plus my gas, I was still saving $80 and this was in great condition! She took my offer!! When I got there, she told me that she only used it one trip!
Tonight I am thankful for my fantastic deal on a cooler for our trip! I feel that warm, fuzzy feeling that reminds me that God cares even about the small things in life and is taking care of us, even when we might forget to notice! ❤️
