But God

Some days you just get an extra nudge to pray, ya know? Today was one of those days. There was an unsettledness in me about our trip; not that the trip would be bad. Just that there was something that needed to be prayed about. So I prayed.

We were driving in the hills of the mountains and it started to rain. Like the big sheets of rain that move in quickly. We moved over to the right lane and the highway curved to the left. That is when we hit a bunch of standing water and hyrdroplaned to the right side of the road. There was no guard rail. We were a few feet from going right off the road and down a giant hill. And we would have, but God was there.

I had a moment of the panic a person gets when they can’t control a large piece of metal that they are trapped inside with their child. But then, calm. God is in control. ❤️

My kiddo and I talked about the size of the angels that must have been pushing us back to where we should be! Then, maybe an hour or so later there were rainbows! So many rainbows! Driving thru the mountains with rainbows sprouting up everywhere! We were driving thru them and everything!

Tonight I am thankful that God is always here. He never leaves us. He doesn’t forget his promises. We need to just listen and have faith – both very, very difficult things; yes I know! But when we get out of the way, he can show up ❤️
