1 Corinthians 16:14: “let all that you do be done in love”.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8: “Love is patient, love is kind. . . It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking . . . Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices in the truth. It always protects . . . always perseveres . . . Love never fails . . . “
The events of the today and the last several days, tomorrow’s anniversary of trajedy, the things of this world that make me thankful for the promise of Heaven, the things that make me thankful that “My soul finds rest in God alone . . ” Psalm 62:1.
Tonight I am thankful that in a world of chaos, there is a God of peace. This chaos was not God’s plan. I’ve read his plan, it was much better, man messed it up. God sent his son to bring us back to him; but for now this world is still messed up. We are not of this world. My soul can’t rest here in this world, there is not peace or love or goodness here. My soul rests in God, there is peace with him; and love and goodness.
