Sir Bruce

“Hello?  I’d like to speak with you about your car’s extended warranty!” 😆

In reality, this little boy was trying to negotiate a second wet food of the day.  He has been back in isolation again today.  Poor cellar, it isn’t his fault entirely.

He will soon being going to the vet for a little operation.  Until then, he has been getting a little too territorial for the cleanliness of the house.  He had gone almost two days without trying to mark anything.  But, today he broke his streak of cleanly decisions.

I have been sneaking him extra treats and toys while in isolation.  Because I do know that what he is doing is perfectly normal for a male cat.  But he is inside, and. . . No.  So, when he looks a little too pitiful, I fill up his food bowl.  Emotional eating is what I am teaching the cat 🙄  There goes my cat-grandma of the year award!!

Tonight I am thankful that in two short weeks, this boy will be a little less masculine than he is today!  My house will be cleaner!  And my personal belongings safer!!

(PS. This is a part of parenting that was not in a book.  Keeping up with my daughter’s cat, while she saved $$ for him to go to the vet.  Because when she brought him home, she said he was hers, and she would be responsible for him.  And she is doing it!  Just a more patience required pace. )
