Cutting

Well, well, well, what do we have here? My scissor collection is mostly all in one place!!!

See, in this house, the lovely inhabitants of the dwelling like to pick up scissors, walk away, and NEVER BRING THEM BACK. There are many things that I have learned to live with over the many years of being a parent. But, not having scissors when I want to use the scissors is one thing I have just never learned to live with.

So I collect scissors. When I’m at the Dollar Tree I pick some up. When I see some on clearance, I grab them. I got a handful of them for Christmas one year. And yet, on average, the most I will have in one place at one time is maybe a maximum of 4. And 4 make me nervous. There are 5 people living here. If the other people grab scissors than I am yet again rendered scissor-less!! Could this happen? Yes, it has before.

Tonight I am thankful that while I have been moving things around and re-organizing here at home, I found scissors!! I have colorful scissors, holiday scissors, fancy scissors, and this doesn’t even count the fabric scissors, hair scissors, and kitchen scissors! 🙂
