I have determined the things I’ll miss the most about real estate appraisals when I close the business next year. The top two are: looking at so many houses and driving around visiting my spots that I found over the years. I will be scheduling time for myself just to drive around and stop in random places because I really enjoy it.
That part of doing my job is actually because of the kiddos. When they were little and came with me to appointments, I would find places for us to visit so they could get out of the car and stretch their little legs! We found lots of neat places just because they happen to be close to a house I had to visit.
Later those little stops became just mine. Sometimes I’ll pull over to eat my lunch. Sometimes I want to stretch my legs and explore a little. Mostly I like to find the quiet places where I can breathe in nature and hide from the world for a little bit.
Tonight I am thankful that I was running ahead of schedule today and stopped to walk on a frozen lake. It was great! ☺️. Beautiful! And peaceful!
