A Win!

Today’s win probably only counts the most to me. And I’m ok with that! My kiddo team member at Time 414 is hopefully excited about today’s win as well!

Some things don’t go as planned. But, are definite learning curves!

It has been two years since I released Parenting Teenagers. It was time for some revisions. And this seemed like the perfect time. **Want a humbling experience? Write a book about parenting, and have your own parent send their thoughts! But I digress.

Edits are done and the book is submitted back to Amazon as the 2nd edition! Exccceeeppt, I forgot about Amazon’s internal review. So the “launch” date of October 1st didn’t exactly happen. But, hardcover, softcover, and kindle versions are in there. So I call it a win!

The app, I touched on briefly yesterday. Well, my brilliant kiddo team member thought of a way around the license situation. That new verification is in with Google as we speak. So the wait time won’t be quite as long as I thought yesterday. Like, we may even get approval tomorrow!

So . . key lessons learned here . . don’t wait so close to the launch date next time. 🫤 I don’t do this kind of thing every day, so I hadn’t anticipated the many, many, many additional delays, verifications, authorizations, etc. that are built in to these processes.

Tonight I am thankful that although this didn’t happen as planned; we are well on our way. The book revisions are done. The new cover is done. Everything is submitted. The app is made. There is content for the app. Everything is submitted. So I’ll just rename October 1st from “Launch day” to “Submitted day” and hey look!! We did it! Yay Us! 🙂 I do like to count the wins! 🙂
