Hubster Skills!

The hubster isn’t much for wanting to be online stuff.  I mention him in this blog of course.  But, he doesn’t want to be the subject of my blogs much.  He doesn’t want to be on Facebook.  He’s just a rather non-internet type of fellow.  And that’s ok.

But tonight, I gotta talk about the hubster.  I shared the happenings with my new-to-me van with you all.  And it is still a great buy for us!  Here’s the thing with an eight year old van that has been driven the amount of a one to two-year old van . . . things get rusty from just sitting there.

I had test-driven the van just wonderfully.  I drove it home perfectly.  Hmm . . that was a Thursday.  That Sunday the van started making a funny noise.  To make a long story short, the rear calipers were stiff and rusty from sitting around, they stuck on the brakes and heated up so much that they were damaged the bearings.  The hubster spent some time going to Autozone and working in his shop and Viola!  I had new bearings, calipers, and brake pads.

So when my front brakes started acting a little funny, I asked him to take a look.  He is down in his shop right now, as I type.  After a long day of work and kiddo chauffering, he is working on my van again.  And again, I still believe the van was a great deal for us!  This should be it for a while now!!!

Tonight I am thankful for the hubster’s skills to keep our vehicles stopping like they should!  I am thankful for his hard work and dedication for our family!  And of course, I am thankful for the thousands of dollars that he’s saved us over the years!!
