Christmas Ickies

I woke up this morning to my son saying he didn’t feel good.

At first I thought maybe he had too many treats yesterday!  We had finished our holiday baking with cookies, fudge, and more cookies!  Surely he just was overloaded with sugar.

As the morning went on, it was obvious this was not the case.  We put Digeze oil on his tummy.  We diffused Thieves, Eucalyptus, and Peppermint oil in to the air.  I had him take a bath with epsom salts infused with different oils.

At one point, I thought for sure he was surely going to toss his cookies.  But he didn’t.  After the bath, and the second batch of Digeze oil, he did not get worse.  He got a little more color in his face.  He slept.  His fever did not increase.

He had to stay home with the hubster this Christmas Eve while the rest of us went to see Grandma, Grandpa, and Great-Grandma.  But, he’s not as bad as he could have been.  And I’m praying this does not spread.

Tonight I am thankful for oils and salts.  Natural cures have been doing wonders for my family!  It is amazing to see the help that God has already put in this Earth for our use.  And it is timely to think how these wonderful things were here in his planning; on a night when we celebrate that he gave an even greater gift to us, his son Jesus!
