T’was the day after Christmas, and all thru the stores; prices were falling, as the clerks did their chores.
My son was standing by the cart impatiently; while I gazed at the clearance stickers excitedly and gratefully.
The shoppers were stocking up for next year’s festivities; as I threw items in the cart, hoping to entice my son’s shopping activities.
My son in his shoes, and I in my boots; had come with a purpose to save money like loots!
When in the middle aisle, there appeared such a sale; we rushed to the display, we followed the trail.
In to the cart, the moose mug we set; as my son smiled broadly as he could buy it without debt.
Tonight I am thankful that amongst the 50% off wrapping paper, extension cords, nut crackers, power strips, and ornaments (on my list), we found a Christmas Moose coffee cup for my son, the moose enthusiast. I’ll admit that he may be tiring of our day-after-Christmas shopping tradition to stock up on items for the next year at 50% off. But, it was all worth while for him today with the moose mug! I’m sure the half priced candy didn’t hurt either 😉
Um . . . sorry, the mug is in the dishwasher . . so no picture. But, here is a pic of the 50% off power strips and extension cords that I sent to the hubster. 🙂
