Intentional

Intentionality would be the word to define a major goal for myself lately.

I have gotten better at being intentional at some business decisions . . but I still have a long ways to go.

Finding balance between work and personal life is hard.  Especially when the work was built to support the personal life; and now I have a spiffy new office at home!

Some great minds would suggest that there are five major aspects of life to set goals and be intentional about: spiritual, physical, financial, social, and professional.  I have been a little robust in my goal setting in all areas at once.  When a person overwhelms themselves, it is hard to get much accomplished.

So, I am working on being intentional in changing some things.  I am starting with just one or two things.  If I can do just one or two positive things in each of these areas every day, then I’m going to call it a win.  If I actually get one or two of these things done 5 days out of a week, then I’m going to call it a win.  I am actually borrowing these goals from a training I am going thru right now.  I think it sounds good.  It sounds manageable and attainable.  And it allows room for grace for myself when life is . . well life!

Tonight I am thankful that there is always an opportunity to choose to make a better decision and to put the decision in to action.  The great thing about life is that you can always decide to change if you don’t like how something is going!  Whether you can change a situation or just change yourself; there is always the chance to change.
