There are six people in this house. We have 3.85 teenagers – the fourth child is not quite a teenager yet. We go thru a lot of food.
I used to go shopping with two shopping carts. With the kids a little bigger now, I can stop at the store more often. So I only end up with two carts a few times a year now. I stock up when things are on sale. I use coupons. I buy clearance finds. And I just buy lots of food because there’s lots of people here!
People’s looks at my shopping cart don’t phase me anymore. But, with everything going on in the world right now, I keep feeling like I need to apologize or explain to people that I’m NOT hoarding food and supplies!
Today I stopped at Sam’s Club. By the time I got to the check-out, my wrist hurt from pushing the heavy cart and picking up all the jumbo sized containers. I decided to use a cashier instead of the self-checkout. I needed help.
Tonight I am thankful that today I got the nicest cashier at Sam’s Club today!! I told her I had four kids at home. She asked if I got enough food or if I needed more 🙂 She was super nice and helpful. I wish I could clone her and take her shopping with me again! ❤
