I have mentioned before that I am a recovering pack-rat. This was a natural tendency of mine anyway. Then I had my babies all close together. So I kept everything in case we needed it for the next baby. We knew we wanted four, so I wanted to be prepared. It also doesn’t help that I love to find a good bargain! “I can use this later”, I think to myself. Then, by the time I need it later, I can’t find it because there is just too much “stuff”!
The good news is that I have been working on getting better! And I have made great progress. My clothes situation though . . well . . that has been one that I haven’t wanted to tackle. I have gone thru my clothes a few times now. And I’ll still have a few more times to go. I have enough sizes of clothes in my room to dress several women. I think, when I get back down to this size, I can wear this again! In reality, that may be true. . . but I could also just go shopping at that point. I am a good sale shopper, and I’m sure I could accommodate a smaller wardrobe at a good price when that time comes.
Today I did go thru and get rid of over an entire bag of clothes. I went thru clothes first thing this morning, before 7:30 am! And I went thru a few more clothes a little later. I made a trip to Goodwill this afternoon and dropped the clothes off so I can’t change my mind!
Tonight I am thankful for slowly, but surely, lightening the load of “things”. I have a long way to go! But, I’ve come a long way too! I’ll be proud of how far I’ve come 🙂 I like that better!
