Do you know that Carrie Underwood song, “Jesus Take the Wheel”? That was on the radio earlier this week when I was driving. I was singing along at top volume. It was one of those moments when the emotions get all filled in with the song. *happy sigh*
Psalm 91 is a great verse that I should pray a little more than I do. But, it is written on my heart.
Earlier this week, after my kiddo’s shoulder surgery, we were driving home. Our light to turned green to turn left. I waited a couple seconds as a car ran their red light the other way. I thought it was safe for us to go, and as I pulled out in the intersection a truck came speeding at us. They noticed at the last minute, slammed on their brakes, and stopped within a few feet of my car. I commented to my kiddo on the number of angels pushing against that truck to stop it so it didn’t hit us! ❤️
This morning I was driving in the dark around 6am. The sky was spitting some water. All of the sudden a buck jumped out in front of me. I slammed on my brakes and stopped within a few inches, INCHES of the buck. ❤️
Tonight I am thankful that I don’t drive alone. Jesus is always with me! I am thankful for all of the things that I am saved from! I know of a few of them. I know there are many more that I don’t even know about. Always remember that what God does for one person, he will do for all people; he wants to keep you protected too!
